Introducing the new CobraMAXT Gooseneck, push-pull welding gun. The CobraMAXT,
designed closely after its Big Brother, the Python®, is 'forward thinking'
in design, balance and performance. A trademark of true MK gooseneck history.
Convenient trigger location and "finger-tip" wire speed adjustment,
makes the CobraMAXT destined to be a favorite among only the true gooseneck
users. The CobraMAXT is ergonomically designed to fit in the hand of either
a right or left-handed welder. Fine wire feed adjustment is provided from our
micrometer styled, 3-3/4 turn inline positioned potentiometer, recessed in the
gun handle.
Each CobraMAXT comes with our durable Snake Skin® cover utilizing
a continuous Velcro® type closure system for easy gun lead maintenance.
The CobraMAXT much like the Python®, brings together every aspect of
precision and dependability. When used with the Cobramatic® Push-Pull wire
feed cabinet, it is the most reliable and versatile wire feed system in the
industry. Only a contact tip change is required to feed wire sizes from .030"
to 1/16".
Unlike the Cobra® Gold and the Prince® XL gun, the CobraMAXT does
not utilize a mechanical gas valve in the gun body. An electronic signal from
the CobraMAXT trigger activates the gas solenoid circuitry within the wire
feeder. The Gas Control/Trigger Latch Kit (P/N 005-0674) must be used with Cobramatic®,
Models 150-003 & 150-005 and the CobraMig® 260, Model 186-002 (S/N 01060001
and higher). In addition to a Latched Trigger option, this kit delivers preset
pre-purge (0.25 sec.) & post-purge (1.0 sec.) times, all in line with reducing
welder fatigue and increased productivity and weld quality.
The CobraMAXT is readily adaptable to the Cobramatic® II, with Timer
Kit (P/N 005-0196) already installed.
